ABLE policy and advocacy election toolkit

25 September 2019
Financial empowerment must be included in federal party policy. Let’s spread the word that financial insecurity should be included in all policy platforms.

The ABLE Financial Empowerment Policy and Research Action Group has designed a toolkit to provide context, frame the “asks” and help you locate your MP and candidates, including how to engage with them. Included in this toolkit you will also find two briefing notes outlining policy recommendations highlighting policy priorities with a focus on investing in financial empowerment champions, financial empowerment research and the development of a matched savings program.

About ABLE

ABLE is a cross-sector community of practice working to reduce poverty through financial empowerment.  It is a coalition of practitioners, financial institutions, researchers, academics, policymakers, and funders dedicated to reducing poverty in Canada through financial empowerment initiatives.
